Elizabeth in 2009
This is an exciting year, though people who know me are never surprised to hear I have something new up my sleeve!
Summertime:
I was asked to write an article in the Psychotherapy Networker magazine. This is an award winning magazine and one of the largest read by mental health professionals. I am beyond excited to gain this type of visibility while actually teaching people something I know and love. (It's the story of my husband building his private practice with nothing more than my free website marketing plan.)
This summer was also the fantastic, annual rejuvenation at the annual Smart Marrriages conference. I had 65 therapists and educators signed up for my website traffic presentation and had a great time. People asked fantastic questions and the time flew. I also co-presented with my father on The First Dance.
Winter/spring:
I had no idea when I was given the go-ahead to get surgery how overwhelming the entire experience would be. But even in pain and hell, I am always soul-searching, learning, and always curious about the world.
After the long recovery (which I'm officially still in for a year) I have a newed sense of LIFE, (nearly) pain free! I was given the opportunity do nothing for 6 weeks, with the first 3 weeks having not a single brain cell of activity over sitting, slowly standing, and eating. This helped me hear my soul better, resulting in recording my website training CD's (which apply to all professions but are tuned directly to mental health professionals and marriage educators.) I want to help as many people as possible and the CD's will do the job!
